The Democratic Party has evaluated the crop of McCain picks and have come up with The Next Cheney. Nice. Basically, it lists the myriad of reasons the miscreant McCain finally picks is wrong for America.

The Obama campaign itself has come out with the Low Road Express, pointing out McCain's penchant for mudslinging. You almost wish he had a decent policy stance to stand on given all the crap he's throwing around.

You can hear Ol' Man McCain muttering, "don't that boy know that he bes' not try bossin' white folk around?"

Bob Herbert, at the New York Times just cuts to the damn chase, and God bless him for doing so. McCain's entire strategy IS Jesse Helm's style Republican campaigning. Obama is black. Fear him. FEAR HIM!!!!. He might sleep with white women if you don't stop him!! Or something like that.

Sadly, this has worked for these miscreants before.
