Republicans on the attack

By John on August 27, 2006 11:50 PM | No Comments

You'd think after being caught lying, cheating, stealing and all-around being corrupt, the GOP and their stalwarts would be laying low for awhile. You'd be wrong. These imbeciles have no sense of decency.

In Colorado, a seventh grade teacher is currently suspended for the "crime" of displaying flags from other countries. Did I mention he's a geography teacher.

In a similar vein, apparently you can't get a federal grant if you plan to study evolutionary biology. I mean, you could before, but not now. They say it's a mistake but a highly coincidental one. I'd be checking anything involving stem cell research as well.

Katherine Harris, the Bitch who gave us Bush, believes that there is no such thing as separation of Church and State. Bonus, she feeds the line that we also can only trust Christian politicans.

In Louisiana, they are apparently putting black students at the back of the bus again. Seriously, didn't a bunch of GOP idjuts just a few months ago say the Voting Rights Act didn't need renewed because the South isn't racist anymore.

HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!

Sorry.

In any case, obviously there still are problems. And someone should stop giving lip service to their racists and actually address those problems.

Jack Cafferty gives a round-up of Republican racist remarks.

Forbes magazine recently published a sexist article called "Don't Marry a Career Woman". FOXNews followed along, cheerleading all the way.

Big surprise: Bush is against school integration plans. He may not have started out a racist, but he's been making great strides recently.

Anyone smell a trend here?

“I don’t think anybody could have predicted that these people would take an airplane and slam it into the World Trade Center…that they would try to use ..a hijacked airplane as a missile.”
- Condoleeza Rice, despite reams of reports to the contrary

"I don't think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees."
- Bush, lying through his teeth, of course, as the revelation of reports that stated just that surfaced later.

""I don't know anyone who wasn't caught off guard"
- Condoleeza Rice - again - after the Palestinian elections, despite that all polls showed Hamas would win. Never mind that they, you know, were on the damn ballots in the first place. So they already had at least a shot of winning.

SEN. JOHN MCCAIN: General Pace, you said there’s a possibility of the situation in Iraq evolving into civil war. Is that correct?

GEN. PACE: I did say that, yes, sir.

SEN. MCCAIN: Did you anticipate this situation a year ago?

GEN. PACE: No, sir.

- General Peter Pace, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, testifying before Congress earlier this month concerning the situation in Iraq.

No, seriously, these guys have the resources of the entire United States at their disposal and they can't anticipate a damn thing happening, in spite of all evidence that would say otherwise. This is horrific job performance. Perhaps they should collectively be fired?

Playing with your food

By John on August 3, 2006 12:32 PM | No Comments

Apparently Iran has had it with loan words from Western cultures. Chief Lunatic Ahmadinejad has declared that such insidious words like "pizza" will be renamed "plastic loaves" lest the Revolution be tainted.

Only bigoted, repressed morons would come up with such a strategy, right?

Speaking of, all House cafeterias have quietly begun calling their cut and fried potatoes French fries again. No Republican representative involved would comment on their idiotic move finally being reversed. Go figure.

That said, Mattie's Pancake House up here in Brookings, OR still has "Freedom Toast" on the menu as of this morning. Good food, but come on people.

Speaking of Republicans and the bad moves they back, the following are links related to the Republican Party endorsing Joe Lieberman. Personally, he might as well go join them because he really doesn't seem to belong anymore. Here are College Republicans moving to organize for Lieberman. Here is a (very long) video montage of Republicans talking up Smiling Joe. Seriously, it's 10 minutes long.

Speaking of hand jobs to guys who don't deserve it, this month's Esquire bursts with giving John McCain all the love he can handle. I read the article knowing I'd feel dirty afterwords...and I was right.

Where do they find these guys?
