Nine Christian Militia Members Charged With Seditious Conspiracy, Attempted Use Of WMD | TPMMuckraker

By John on March 29, 2010 3:17 PM | No Comments

Onward Christian (bigoted, racist, anti-American) Soldiers!

Many sources on this, but Talking Points Memo has got a good lead on this.

So far, nine "Christian" militia members have been charged with sedition. More on their activites, including videos advocating armed revolt.

NPR is covering the story, complete with pro-militia commenters. You know, "violence = free speech" and other insane conservative BS. (Want any proof NPR has been taken over by the lunatic right? Read this crap.)

Juan Cole does a more rational job in covering the dangers of this round in the militia movement.

Rachel Maddow has some info on this and continues on the blog with other related stories.

Here is the local Detroit News article, with some tongue-in-cheek followup concerning the group's name.

And, since this is probably the tip of the iceberg, more on how this is just the beginning of a trend of hatred by so-called Christians.

Weak tea? Partiers fear fallout - Kenneth P. Vogel - POLITICO.com

By John on March 22, 2010 5:12 PM | No Comments

In theory, some of the Tea Bagging Traitors fear a backlash from all the racist and treasonous bullshit their kind spews. Granted, I'm supposed to believe these morons don't know they traffic in treason. That's a big leap of faith to be honest.

Cases in point follow.

Pastor Randy Neugebauer, who was on the ticket with Alan Keyes, is calling for the death of all 219 representatives who voted for health care reform. Now THAT is compassionate conservatism in action! And he's supposedly a "man of God".

ConservaTwit Solomon "Solly" Forell is in deep shit for tweeting about assassinating President Obama. So much for democracy; not that the GOP has been a fan of it anyway.

And then there are the Tea Bagger protest signs. Here are some, plus some more here.

- Bonus points for using a LaRouche sign

There's protesting and then there is pissing on the concept of America. This is the latter. They voluntarily chose to no longer be my countrymen.

Utah Governor Signs Controversial Law Charging Women and Girls With Murder for Miscarriages | Civil Liberties | AlterNet

By John on March 12, 2010 4:11 PM | No Comments

If some Utah conservathugs have their way, women can be charged with murder for having a miscarriage.

Women, leave that conservative repressive state as fast as you can.

Let them eat applesauce: Right-wing media mock the uninsured | Media Matters for America

By John on March 10, 2010 10:08 AM | No Comments

"Compassionate conservatives" once again show their true cold-hearted stripes. Misery is what they believe anyone who doesn't have money deserve.

Their Jesus apparently ate some loaves and fishes in front of those who came to listen to him instead of sharing with his community.

What Makes the Healthiest and Happiest Societies? Hint: It's Not Wealth | Personal Health | AlterNet

By John on March 9, 2010 3:31 PM | No Comments

Equality makes the best societies, not the relentless and cutthroat pursuit of wealth.

You know, this is something Christians should automatically know. That is, if they actually read their bibles instead of beating people over the head with them.

Glenn Beck Urges Listeners to Leave Churches That Preach Social Justice -- Politics Daily

By John on March 8, 2010 9:33 AM | No Comments

Beck encourages his angry mob followers to quit churches who teach social justice.

So...just to be clear: if your pastor or priest is exhorting you to act Christ-like, Glenn Beck wants you to leave the congregation. If your pastor is screaming at you to hate people who don't look or think like you, to encourage you to pray for the President's death, and to carry guns to church and vote straight ticket Rethug, then he's apparently the "right" kind of "Christian".

These people are just plain odious.

The Rehabilitation Of Joseph McCarthy? Texas Textbooks Process Grinds On | TPMMuckraker

By John on March 3, 2010 10:30 PM | No Comments

That bastard Don McLeroy may have lost his seat on the Texas State School Board, but there are still plenty of Talibangelical jackasses who want to destroy our education system.

These are the pricks who honestly think that Joe McCarthy is some kind of American hero. No, seriously.

These people have literally got to be stopped. Not in a lethal sense, but their point of view, their derangement, their flawed thinking and beliefs. Their disease has got to stop being taken seriously.

Yes, it starts with an election, but this is one in Rethug-ruled Texas. Even a possibly moderate Republican is going to have Luddite and Talibangelical tendencies, if not Tea Bag Traitor ones come re-election time.

We need our children educated, not fed fairy tales and lies. We want them to open their minds and not close their hearts. That's what the Republicans want to give our people: hate, fear, ignorance. Never forget that.

Stay vigilant folks!

Caring for Pets Left Behind by the Rapture - BusinessWeek

By John on March 2, 2010 2:56 PM | No Comments

Since I'm jaded, my main thought upon reading this article is "why didn't *I* come up with this?"

That said, the guy seems legit in caring for animals, if not in believing Talibangelical paranoia.

Because, honestly, the world can get WAAAAAAAAAAAY worse than it is right now, even without conservative teenage anal sex, bombing brown people, and planting new nuclear plants in former Confederate states (yes, rednecks, Obama is actually prepping you twits for the next Three Mile Island, HA! HA! HA! HA!).

Sorry, just had to add a new conspiracy theory out there.

Robertson: "God Even Angrier with Chile than Haiti" - The Desperate Blogger - Open Salon

By John on March 1, 2010 3:53 PM | No Comments

This is funny.

Not so much the story, though that's entertaining. What is hilarious is that people are taking this story seriously. Yes, it's satire. It is made up.

The same folks pissed that they were duped should really be asking themselves how they believed this. Is it so well written that they were hoodwinked? I mean, I like the article but no.

The real answer is that Pat Robertson is such a reprehensible shitheel that you can't help but believe he uttered things like:

"If I had to guess, I'd say it must have to do with Chile's persecution and attempted prosecution of their great former leader, and a personal hero of mine, Augusto Pinochet - who, it should be noted, had never been convicted of a crime when the Lord called him home three years ago."

And I'm sure the Talibangelicals will create the "Christian" form of a murder fatwa for the author once they get together and rub their two collective brain cells together and gin up another bad idea.
