A bit crass of a title but basically the story highlights how the Rethugs were against bipartisan solutions to health care before they were against it after discussing it.

In short, these guys have no desire to help Americans - even when their ideas are included in the bill.

And yes, anyone who supports this asinine behavior IS a moron.

Senator Jim Bunning basically tells 1.2 million unemployed people "tough shit" by blocking a bill to give them benefits. Why? I mean, other than he's a Republican?

Well, he has a policy reason, but mostly he was pissed off that he couldn't watch a University of Kentucky basketball game.

Yeah, that's just the kind of leadership Kentucky deserves. Idiots.

The best quote in this article that reminds us what a scumbag John McCain is (and of what the President should have said yesterday:

"You know, John, instead of whining about all of my broken promises, why don't you take this opportunity to apologize to your fellow citizens for inflicting that morally-impaired harridan Sarah Palin on them?"

One of the impediments to dealing with Rethug loonies is that they have decided that making shit up is equal to researching and using facts.

It isn't entirely their fault. Our media's obsession with sound bites that distort the truth is an early part of this trend. Our inability - or plan for some - to not teach our kid's history, science, well, anything doesn't help. So now, people with bullshit conspiracy theories, lies, and misinformed half-truths can make categorically wrongheaded assumptions and not feel compelled to back down from them even when confronted with the truth.

I mean, seriously, when the facts are not on your side, you need to admit that there is at least another side of the story. At the most, you need to be able to admit you are wrong.

This is something I did note see modelled by the GOP yesterday. When confronted with facts that proved them wrong, they just spouted their lies louder and with more voices. Pathetic.

The worst part about Republicans are that they just sound like parrots. They get fed their talking points and then they just vomit them back. No critical analysis, no interpretation, no actual thought or even polish to already stupid sound bites.

If you want to be taken seriously, stop sounding like you crammed for the exam only last night and act as if you actually did the research. Actually, comparing the GOP to college freshmen with a full load is a severe insult to the college kids. At least they bought the books and tried to show up to class.

I mean, hell, if Bloomberg isn't shy about reporting about Rethugs sucking at the stimulus teat, that must mean it's real. Right?

While I've been posting positive and respectful homages to Howard Zinn, NPR has continued it's slide to conservative BS "journalism" with a biased and insulting interview concerning Zinn's passing.

At least this time at least one of their number understands that shitting on the dead is in poor form. Normal for conservatives, of course, but still the hallmark of a cretin.
