Want to know where the GOP stands on the standards of living of African-Americans in this nation? Here's some Arizona Rethug who thinks that blacks had it better during slavery than they do with a black president.

You actually cannot make up more odious beliefs than the ones Republicans free give.

A great question that I wonder every time there's some dumbass like McVeigh or Roemer or Stack.

Also, since a decorated Vietnam vet died in the attack, you'd think we'd focus more on him. However, it turns out that Vernon Hunter is black and thus apparently unworthy of coverage by our lily-white media.

Will Bunch points it out succintly: Hunter was murdered by Stack. A white guy with his own plane who didn't want to pay taxes murdered a black civil servant who also served his country in uniform in a past war.

That's about as clear an act or murder as you get. Adding the whole ramming a fuel-filled plane into a federal building just makes it worse.

But conservatives? Those supposed "patriots" when it comes time to buy yellow ribbons but not when it is time to serve? Nah, they love Stack, just like they love anyone who wants to violently oppose our nation internally.

Question: why is this jackass allowed to run around and preach treason to packed rooms of angry secessionists?

And why are they pissed solely because they lost a legal election and now have a black President?

Oh wait, I think I just answered that there at the end.

Granted, with the emergence of Palinites and Tea Baggers it is a lot easier to find them in a crowd, but it just makes it worse for all of us that they now feel validated.

Such ilk does not deserve a public face or any form of positive reinforcement. Someone should tell the GOP that. Not that it would help.

Granted, I've read NurtureShock and am a bit of a convert myself, but the core argument regarding race and children is that ignoring race is just as bad as teach kids to be lil' klan kiddies.

Like with most things in life, you have to confront the issue and present all relevant sides to an argument. Yes, there are different races in our world. Everyone is raised or at least influenced a bit differently. But different doesn't mean bad in most aspects.

People seem to want to have the easy way out. But folks who want it all the time really shouldn't be parents. I hope to do a damn sight better than that with our little guy.

It seems that every time there is a natural disaster, some conservative has to mock the survivors for doing what they can to survive. In both New Orleans and Haiti, anyone digging through the rubble for a loaf of bread was a "looter". As long as their skin was dark, at least.

It's not just the purview of the worst of our media. Seemingly all media organizations do it reactively. It just seems that FAUXNews-types take joy in criminalizing dark people in dire straits.

Tancredo, Palin, and the rest of the Tea Bagger Traitors want to disenfranchise minorities. Once again, they want to return us to a time when women stayed at home and went uneducated and anyone not white stay subservient. Bastards.

(I)f I were to choose to use my full given name, I'd like to think it would be regarded as being equally as American as the millions upon millions of other immigrant names in the phone book. Speaking of the phone book, there are at least 100 "Glenn Beck" listings at the White Pages website. Probably hundreds more. Does that make his name more American than, say, Eisenhower? Or Petraeus?
