This guy has been around for quite awhile in Vegas. Pretty basic local auto salesman ads, but hey, he's one of those guys you see all the time.

Just saw part of this interview with The Chop the other day and figured I'd share it. I still don't know what to think of this guy, but he's definitely got his own thing going.
The Morning News folks have been interviewing local TV ad men this week.
Here are a couple of interest that have entertained me through the years here.
First off, John Barr from Findlay Toyota. You can catch some of his ads here.

Plus, the Lees from Lee's Discount Liquor:

Some of their ads are at their site.
I'm not sure if there are any other videos from this series but if they are of interest I'll hunt them down.

I gotta be honest. The art-imitating-life-passing-as-real-due-to-the-internet thing may have hit a high point with the Shrute Farm B&B listing. This is pretty funny actually.
I've been waiting for someone to lay out the rationale for rejecting Jay Leno. Here it is for those still unconvinced.
As far as I've ever been concerned, the guy isn't funny. Plus he seems like a smug jackass.
'Nuff said.
If you want to watch the original, catch it here.
Otherwise, check this out:
A great review on the progress The Big Bang Theory has undergone to becoming a fantastic funny show.
I've seen a lot of variations of this and, yes, they are pretty tired, but this one does a good job on the Leno-Conan thing:
This Alessandra sounds like a way crazy chick but honestly, this interview makes me want to want to watch Caprica more than knowing that Eric Stoltz is still getting a paycheck from someone.

Kimmel normally doesn't amuse me, not that I dislike him and all, but he did peak with The Man Show. That said, this isn't bad.
And here's a nifty Chinese version of the whole fiasco.
Apparently, Conan had a hard time breaking the news to his crew that NBC was screwing them all.
More late night fallout from last night.
First, Conan himself:
Plus Letterman:
And Craig Ferguson, who apparently will never work at NBC. Or with Paula Abdul. You'll see why:
You know, a few more bits like this and I may start liking Oswalt:

I mean, Conan O'Brien is funny, but who knew he was such a class act?
From his statement concerning his worries about the legacy of The Tonight Show and in not screwing over Jimmy Fallon, who took over his old show:
For 60 years, the "Tonight Show" has aired immediately following the late local news. I sincerely believe that delaying the "Tonight Show" into the next day to accommodate another comedy program will seriously damage what I consider to be the greatest franchise in the history of broadcasting. The "Tonight Show" at 12:05 simply isn't the "Tonight Show." Also, if I accept this move I will be knocking the "Late Night" show, which I inherited from David Letterman and passed on to Jimmy Fallon, out of its long-held time slot. That would hurt the other NBC franchise that I love, and it would be unfair to Jimmy. So it has come to this: I cannot express in words how much I enjoy hosting this program and what an enormous personal disappointment it is for me to consider losing it. My staff and I have worked unbelievably hard, and we are very proud of our contribution to the legacy of "The Tonight Show." But I cannot participate in what I honestly believe is its destruction. Some people will make the argument that with DVRs and the Internet, a time slot doesn't matter. But with the "Tonight Show," I believe nothing could matter more.
Why is it him that is the only guy worried about the legacy of one of NBC's biggest shows? Shouldn't the execs worry?
I mean, hell, I get Leno. He doesn't give a shit for anyone but himself. If successful, he'll have managed to screw over NBC, the show, David Letterman, Conan, and even Howard Stern for all the bits he stole from him. What a piece of crap.
Here's Conan's monologue from last night:
And Letterman's two cents:
Also, a good article from NPR on the subject.
It turns out that, yes, The Daily Show is considered a credible media watchdog by some news anchors themselves.
That's probably a good thing as everyone puts Birther idiots on the air, along with other cretins who would solely belong on FAUXNews if the world had any damned sense.
A sad collection of Microsoft mishaps in presenting itself in ads.
Hint: Jerry Seinfeld isn't funny.
