America's Worst Governor

| | Comments (0)

Yeah, we've got a mob lawyer running Las Vegas, but he does a great job.

The ACTUAL looney tune "leading" us is our governor, Jim Gibbons. Check it out, we've now got a great website for him, fittingly called America's Worst Governor.

A while back CityLife gave a nice breakdown on the vile crap this moron has pulled and why he should go. Chasing after cocktail waitressed, rigging appointments, taking questionable donations, and so on.

I mean, California got rid of their corrupt governor and ended up with Schwarzenegger. Who know? We could end up with Governor Wayne Newton.

It sure would be a lot better than the GOP asshat currently in charge.

More Mean McCain

| | Comments (0)

Because I just can't let it go, another story on how McCain is an utter jackass.

Also, it was pointed out to me that the Moron Maverick was very proud to be endorsed by blonde bimbo Heidi Montag awhile ago, but now feels actresses and celebrity types are to be scorned.

Granted, I still really don't have a frigging clue who Ms. Montag *is*, but it's a valid observation.

Strike Hard

Obama hits McCain back in an ad called "The Low Road". Watch it:

And read a quick synopsis.

...but Houston is apparently proud of being the worst city in terms of recycling in the US.

Not to mention worst air, worst rednecks, worst humidity, and worst amount of asshat Republicans per capita.

Hey, I lived damn near five years in the suburb of Pasadena in the '80s. I KNOW what I'm talking about. I've been back a few times to visit the area, thankfully in the fall and winter and it STILL sucks as a city.

Makes me happy to be currently living in middle of the desert.

"One would think that Mc.Cain would stay away from mocking loose, blond, heiresses -- considering he is married to one."

- williamg, HuffPo commenter

Conservatives are starting to worry about McCain's grouchy attacks on Obama. This time he accuses Barack of being only a vapid celebrity, a la Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. Strange thing to say consider Obama is addressing world leaders, putting forth positions on issues, and visiting our troops, and McSame is busy hanging out in the cheese aisle.

This is bizarre, as mentioned earlier, not only is he married to a blonde bimbo, but it turns out he has a LOT more in common with Britney "I Love Bush" Spears than not.

Another story on conservatives fearing McCain's temper will turn off independents.

Name the states

| | Comments (0)

Here's a neat site that makes you type in all fifty states. Give it a try. I did it with 7:20 to spare and took two phone calls in the interim.

Let me know your score.

I know, I know, branding is such loathsome stuff sometimes. But look at what we've got ahead of us should Barack beat the 19th century Luddites, the Talibangelicals, the Diebold vote riggers, the warmongers, racists, bigots, and sleazebags aligned against us.

We've got one war to end and another to finally support. We've got zealots trying to destroy public education and others trying to make our bureaucracy a politicized think tank of narrow-minded anti-Americans. We have faith-based pharmacies that won't prescribe drugs and oil companies in charge of the our ever-sinking economy and our ever-endangered environment.

The list goes on and on and gets bigger with each passing revelation of dirty deeds done by the current administration.

So shouldn't this all have a name? I've been fond of the Restoration, but that has it's own bad English connotations. Honestly, any suggestions? Barack says this is bigger than him, and it is, so let's get a banner to fight under.

Granted, I almost never get any comments, but people are still ringing up the visit stats so I know you come here. I've got this cross-posting at MyBO so pop me a comment there if you want to.

Dirty Pool

As if already having the voting machine companies rigging the vote for you wasn't enough, Bush and Friends are setting the table for a McCain presidency. Bush banned State Department employees and ALL Foreign Service workers from attending Obama's speech in Berlin last week.

Strangely (HA!) it had NO issues with folks running to see McCain in Ottawa earlier this year.

What a hell of a double standard.

Incidentally, McCain apparently doesn't even remembering going to Canada to give a speech.

Incidentally, here is the text of the speech and video:

What else can conservatives say about the speech? Apparently some want to compare Obama to Hitler. Nice touch, racist pig dogs.

When conservatives attack

| | Comments (0)

Johnny Boy McCain has gotten his big boy pants on now. He's finally a true Republican.

He's out attacking Obama's character. That's a good GOP trick.

But wait! Obama also hates the troops! Just ask the McCain campaign. Just because Obama did not visit a military hospital - BECAUSE THE PENTAGON ASKED HIM NOT TO - Obama is a raging hater of our armed forces.

Last I checked, Obama was trying to better use our troops than either "Ace" McCain or his pal Georgie were. He's even done a good job of blunting pro-McCain media types on his stance against the surge.

McCain even states that Obama wants to lose the war to gain political points. Which is the kind of double-talking bullshit I expect from Republicans. I'm pissed off. You should be too, even if you are a member of the Bigots for Hate Jesus Party.

Our soldiers are pissed. That's for sure.

And Jon Soltz, from VoteVets, puts the lie to McCain's "maverick" claims.

And just in case you still doubt McCain isn't trying to be some rabid conservative, here's some final proof: he's testing the concept of a racist campaign against Obama. Dude, the Kluckers were voting for you anyway; not to mention the so-called racist "Christians".

Unreported

| | Comments (0)

There's an article over at HuffPo about all kinds of stories the media "forgot" to report while it was too busy covering up McCain's mistakes and spreading his lies. Let's hit some of the high points.

Chief Idiot John Ashcroft spent time swearing that waterboarding isn't torture. That said, Ashcroft, Cheney, Bolton, Rumsfeld and the rest of the chickenhawk gang know as much about torture as they do about wearing a military uniform. Which is that they love the concept, but are too squeamish or privileged to actually have anything to do with either. They just write orders with no knowledge and let others do the hard work.

Christopher Hitchens, who usually comes off as a smug intellectual, at least did the hard work on the torture front. He may hate God, but he definitely now hates waterboarding more as he actually had the balls to undergo the experience. Read his account and share it with the neocons in your life.

In the main article, more on how the Bush Administration blocked CO2 cuts, even though green jobs are outpacing coal industry jobs, and proof that closing coal plants improve the brain development of children living near them. These goons are on the wrong side of science, history, children, and probably every other good thing on earth.

They are definitely against women. Bushites are trying to label ANY contraceptive as a type of abortion so they can better make the pill illegal. I imagine condoms are on the list too.

Look, believe whatever Hate Jesus bullshit you want to believe. But quit trying to become the Taliban.

People, run these bastards out of our school boards, city councils, local, state, and federal government before we start blowing up Mount Rushmore as idolatry and force our children into polygamist marriages at the age of 10. Get these lying, evil, torturing hillbillies away from the leadership of America.

We have not been doing right by our troops. That isn't news, but I'd like to take some time to highlight some reasons why. It is shameful and we need to be addressing it as a nation. The GOP wants to sweep this all under the rug, but what we do for our soldiers in preparing them for war and for honoring their service and sacrifice when they get home is just as important as how we treat them in theater. Not that we've done too great of a job there either.

The VA is stopping Democrats from registering people to vote on VA property. Strangely, this has never happened to a Republican. Go figure. The Bush Admin goons are even into subverting democracy at this stage.

"If what I've done for this country isn't enough for me to be a citizen, then I don't know what is."

- Sergeant Abdool Habibullah, USMC (ret.), trying to become an American

Meanwhile, those who fought for our flag in the hopes that they could become citizens are finding their way blocked. This is just about as un-American as you can get and dishonors their service.

For foreign and US soldiers alike, many experience woefully pathetic facilities, as recorded by one soldier's father.

In Iraq, the costs of letting Bush and Cheney's pals at Halliburton farm out work is showing it as a policy failure. Big surprise. Subpar electrical work has led to the electrocution of 13 soldiers and an unreliable grid. KBR, the Halliburton subsidiary responsible for this, also relishes the fact that it provides our troops contaminated water. Yes, you too can be a grunt and make 1/5th less than a low level BlackWater merc and get running skin sores from taking a shower in filth. And all for probably three times the cost of just having the Army handle the facilities.

But don't judge blame Bush and his criminal friends. Apparently upwards of fifteen percent of our female veterans have experienced some form of sexual trauma. This is unacceptable, and not even remotely addressed by the higher ups.

And with all this going on, the Pentagon is more worried about shutting down military bloggers than fixing what is wrong with the force.

It isn't all bad news. Disney has a special resort for military members and their families to go to and attempt to heal. It is for our troops to reward their families for the hard work they do, as well as hopefully a reprieve for the soldiers as well.

Also, Dean Kamen, inventor of the Segway, is making major advances in the area of artificial arms. Check out the video on that link. It is impressive work and I hope it gets to the folks who need it as soon as possible.

Why the hell is this idiot running from president?

I mean, I'm not sure if he actually is beginning to go senile or if he's ALWAYS been this big of a dumbass and they've hidden it from us. Either way, I don't want this guy in charge of an ice cream truck, much less having the codes to a pile of nukes.

For being the "experienced" candidate, he sure is an idiot. Let's review a random list of crap he's screwed up in just the past couple weeks. As you go through it, realize that if Obama f'ed up this bad, he'd be run back to Chicago by a GOP goon squad.

First off, let's get a couple things straight. McCain insists the Surge is working. Indeed, he incorrectly insists that the Surge is actually shorthand for "counter-insurgency" when it really means, duh, a surge of troops. So, from the get-go, he's a douchebag.

And a liar.

So, the so-called "Anbar Awakening", when the Sunnis figured out we were giving the country over to the Shi'ites and Kurds if they didn't start playing ball. McCain credits a certain sheik for helping this happen, even though said sheik was assassinated.

By according the McMummy: "Because of the surge we were able to go out and protect that sheik and others. And it began the Anbar awakening."

Yeah. Nice catch there.

This is part of the CBS coverup. Incidentally, MoveOn has a petition to tell CBS to report honestly. It probably won't do anything but make you feel better, but there ya go.

He also forgets that the war in Afghanistan even exists. Then again, why would he? He hasn't attended a meeting on Afghanistan in over two years.

This article explains that McCain doesn't just have his facts wrong - he doesn't understand the Iraq War AT ALL. Seriously, this guy is dangerous due to his inability to face reality. And haven't we had more than enough of that?

To there credit though, MSNBC is seemingly the only network honest enough to call bullshit of the crap CBS pulled.

And in this roundup you can read about how much McCain and the GOP are total assholes. 'Nuff said.

Funny, not funny

| | Comments (0)

There are some genuine things to laugh at recently, and some things being passed off as humor that are not.

236.com handles Bush's pipe dream of reducing the cost of gas without actually doing anything to fix the problem.

Andy Borowitz covers such things as Cindy McCain's new, more emoting robot head as well as the revelation that some liberals are pissed that Obama is actually trying to win.

Borowitz also covers McCain's first visit to the internet. Truly a harrowing tale of daring.

Bob Cesca finally says what needs said: McCain is NOT funny, so quit letting him make jokes. For some reason, McCain's brand of humor revolves around either insulting his wife or making light of rape. Yeah, for all you supposed Hillary types that won't back Obama, your new fascination is apparently fond of rape. So, all you NOW types may hopefully wake up to your delusion and change your damn minds.

Or you are hypocrites to you own belief system. Whichever.

Now he isn't whining...or is he?

| | Comments (0)

McCain *now* says he isn't whining about the media being biased against him. This post at HuffPo puts the lie to the myth anyway, as I'd mentioned earlier.

McCain is also pissed off that Obama is getting a lot of coverage for a trip McCain demanded he take in the first place. That's rich, really. He wanted Obama to screw up. Instead, McSame has, yet another error in geography from a guy who is starting to make it look like Bush knows where stuff is on a map. And Obama is being well-received, particularly by our allies and especially our troops. That has to hurt a guy like McCain, who - after all - is just an airedale who wrecked so many planes his own fellow pilots called him "Ace". And the GOP says it is *bad* that Obama has fans amongst our allies and fighting forces. Bad for them, maybe, but not for America.

Instead, Obama is doing fine and even has the Iraqi government agreeing with him. Here are some pics and video from the trip thus far.

Fared Zakaria insists we don't even *need* a war president. I'll take that one further. We don't need a president that inspires hatred of our nation in our allies or doesn't know that Iraq doesn't share a border with Pakistan. We already have a douchebag in charge, we don't need a guy that increasingly either seems to have the onset of Alzheimer's or just genuinely doesn't give a shit about our world.

Thanks to Ray for the observation.

We were - for some reason - discussing Food Network people and Ray popped us an email with this photo observation.

Oh really?

"The glory days of TV news are over, and the media landscape has been dramatically changed....I find myself in the last bastion of male dominance, and realizing what Hillary Clinton might have realized not long ago: that sexism in the American society is more common than racism, and certainly more acceptable or forgivable."

- Katie Couric, apparently blaming us for not watching her Fox-Lite reporting

McSame is working on a couple ads that apparently "prove" that the media is for Obama.

This I find very strange as McCain has always been shown to be more centrist and independent than he really is. He is, in short, a false media creation. So I find it comically pathetic for him to wonder where all the cameras have gone.

They are still there. Hell, I am VERY glad I did not renew my NPR membership this year. After interviewing shitheels like Glenn Beck, Grover Norquist and Richard Land as "mainstream" conservative voices; after being in the tank for Hillary Clinton; they are now mouthpieces for the McCain campaign. Don't believe me? This supposed bastion of liberal radio constantly airs critical pieces on Obama, but rarely a day goes by that a direct quote or soundbite from McCain or one of his lackeys is aired without any point-counterpoint or explanation that it is a damn lie when it is.

So yeah, keep harping McCain. You're getting a frigging daily blow job from "liberal radio" but everyone is against you.

Anyway, back to how Katie Couric is wrapped up in this. So, McCain did an interview with him recently and he completely dropped the ball on the history of the Surge that he loves so well. He attributed Sunni cooperation in the Anbar province with the results of us finally putting enough troops in the country. So, he blew it...again.

Did that actually air? No, CBS covered it up.

Katie, there's a reason the "golden age" of news reporting is gone, and if you look in the mirror, you are part of that reason. McCain, you cannot go ranting about unfavorable coverage when every anchor and reporter is seemingly ready to cover up your constant lack of knowledge and outright lies.

Fools.

The Second Half

| | Comments (0)

Some things to look out for as baseball's second half resumes tomorrow.

Go Cubs!

Future First Dog?

| | Comments (0)

The Best Friends network emailed me today about asking Senator Obama to seriously consider using a rescue agency instead of a puppy mill if the future First Family is looking for a dog.

Granted, I find it silly that anyone running for president HAS to have a dog, but hopefully they can find a pet that the entire family will love.

We got our dog Mono-kun through Best Friends and he has, of course, been nothing but great. Solid folks and as good a cause as any if the future First Family is looking for a pet.

So, if you would, spread the word and sign the petition and hopefully this all works out for some lucky dog and the Obama family.

F'in Uggla

| | Comments (0)

I was so busy yesterday I just figured I'd miss catching the All-Star game. And I did, only caught it from the 8th inning on.

Actually, I damn near saw a whole game anyway given it went 15 innings (recap here and box score).

Some highlights. The Cubs pitchers represented, as did the Rockie's Aaron Cook, turning in a couple of impressive innings on the mound.

Kosuke Fukudome enjoyed his moment as an All-Star. And Nate McLouth REALLY impressed in the field. As did Edinson Volquez who pitched well despite giving up a crucial home run in the 7th.

But the night, and the Goat of the NL title deservingly goes to the Marlin's Dan Uggla. He kicked balls, couldn't clutch hit, made THREE frigging errors. There can't be enough said about how monumentally bad he fielded - or, more accurately, DIDN'T field - his position.

But he says he has no regrets. Which is almost a nice of way of saying "oops" but far short of saying "Sorry for screwing up the home field advantage for our side folks".

Then again, let's not blame Uggla for it all. Apparently Ichiro gives an annual profanity-laced pep talk that fires up the AL.

Who the hell knows? I just know that if the Cubs do make it to the Fall Classic, they've got one more hurdle than they did yesterday.

I am trying to wrap up stuff and kick this laptop for a well-deserved reboot. I spent a bit of the night trolling the Lifehacker Food category and ran into stuff I forgot I'd read and some new stuff to pass along. Indulge me as I pass along linkage.

I have not one, but TWO articles on healthy eating for at or under a buck (link 1, link 2).

From the New York Times food section the 11 best foods you (or I) am not eating enough of. Also, how to cut back on the meat eating and checking into farmer's markets in your area. Heck, even we have a couple here in the desert. Plus, some tips on how to cook your veggies.

Food to avoid buying organically, healing foods, and healthy supermarket foods.

Is YOUR Starbucks closing? Find out here.

To wrap up, a couple sites dedicated to rating beers. I know, very important knowledge, no? Here are RateBeer and BeerSuggest.

Child's Play (at the table)

| | Comments (0)

Slate covers the benefits of family dinners. Something to look forward to....

The BBC handles the touchy subject of children's birthday parties. Scary! Read it if just to help you figure out where all the landmines are.

Just for fun, some simple freezer treats.

Rumors

| | Comments (0)

Our local ultra-conservative rag occasionally prints a story based in reality. Recently they tackled the popular Republican fear meme that illegal aliens are stealing free health care and actually reported the truth on the matter. Hint: it is nowhere near what you would think - or are being told by the GOP. Want a glimpse of how loathsome our local Rethugs are? Read the comments.

Old but still useful CNN commentary on mandatory flag pin wearing and other false signs of patriotism and this one on racism in this year's campaign.

Michael Bloomberg, to his credit, is working with Jewish-Americans to stop the rumor that Obama is a closet Muslim.

Then again, some folks (at least 1% of them) think Obama is Jewish, among other things. Read it, you'll weep for how frigging stupid our fellow citizens are.

To wrap up, Slate offers up suggestions on some helpful rumors the Obama camp can start spreading.

My on-call ends soon. Yay!

Si Se Puede!

In case you were wondering about the Latino vote and those folks who were fooled by Bush, fear not.

According to this story they are solidly returning to the Democratic Party and to Barack Obama. McCain sold out to the racists and zealots in his party, and that tale needs constant telling as this election year continues.

Speaking of tales that need told, McCain had an abysmal week, not that his pals in the media reported it. Read the linked story and tell me I'm wrong.

Liberals get a bad rap for being too cute by half. Sometimes that label sticks. I'm not even deigning to display the image, but the New Yorker magazine did a hit job on its cover this week, pushing ALL the Rethug arguments and then escalating them.

Yeah, it is supposed to be a joke. I get that. What I DON'T get is why they should be helping out filthbags like Limbaugh, Coulter, et al in their racist bullshit.

That said, disgusting cover aside, there actually is a decent article tucked in the magazine about Obama's years in Chicago.

Well, I'm stuck awake on my final night of this particularly grueling on-call. Might as well get back to it.

Petitions and quizzes

| | Comments (0)

Not that anyone actually reads these petitions that needs to, but what the hell, right?

Sign this one to tell FAUXNews to stop being such racists dickweeds.

I believe it is tied in with Color of Change's similar reject racism petition. Republicans not being racist? Honestly, I don't know what would happen to that party if it didn't hate blacks and lations. Not to mention women, gay people, and Muslims.

Lieberman Must Go is another petition I'm a fan of. Basically, fifth columnist Joe Lieberman is still in charge of some committees in the Democratic Senate. This has to end. If he wants to embrace McCain and his hatred of women and love of war, then let him. Just not on our watch, capische? They delivered the first 43,000 signatures to Capitol Hill today. Add your's to the next batch.

Also, a quiz on things you should - and more importantly, should NOT - fear.

FEAR! FEAR! FEEAAAAARRRR!!!!

| | Comments (0)

Conservative Fred Barnes knows how McCain can win: make Republicans afraid that gays are out to get them. That's right, when you don't have a leg to stand on policy-wise, when you are on the wrong side of the Iraq War, tax cuts for the rich, drilling every square inch of America for oil that costs five times to get what you can charge for it, and so on, go ahead and scare the hell out of the populace with fear of a gay planet.

It also works with race. Stay tuned for that as well.

Seriously, I am so tired of these assholes.

They hate gays and think Hollywood is taking over America. Last I checked, country music and racism are still alive and well in America. Need proof? Listen to the chorus of Jesse Helms apologists ever since he took the express train to Hell a few days ago.

They hate science and now we've got zealots trying to cram creationism down our kid's throats. We've got a president who doesn't believe in global warming. The same assclown turned off research into stem cell therapies leaving us with only six good lines as 65 of the 71 he grudgingly approved of are worthless. In South Dakota, doctors by law have to lie about abortion to women who are considering the procedure.

Rethugs are behind the Muslim meme about Obama. False, in case you were in Dogpatch and still don't get it.

Bonus 236 views of Carly Fiorina and Smirkin' Mitt Romney. Where DO these find these frightening fools?

The fall of innovation

| | Comments (0)

Studio 360 recently replayed a story on Bell Labs it did a couple years ago. Listen to it below:

Here is some more on the rise and fall of Bell Labs, later Lucent, and now Alcatel-Lucent.

The reason this seems relevant to me in more than just being a good story about how we work for stockholders more than for actual results is that it has political ties.

"I heard he spends his days playing Battlefield Vietnam but he's a bit shit at it and he's always getting captured."

- thetoadwarrior at Slashdot commenting about McCain and technology

While crude, McCain doesn't apparently really even have a grasp on email, though both he and Obama have a view on the issues (this link also includes Clinton because she hadn't faced reality yet). Basically McSame is in the pocket of telcos and such and is more a continuation of Bush, as he is in so many other things. Am I totally happy with Obama's stance on tech? No, but any candidate that fit my criteria couldn't ever get elected.

McCain is also in trouble for taking technology advice from Carly Fiorina. Despite this fawning wet kiss from some hack at the LA Times, Carly is STILL the person that did nothing to stop Lucent's slide and almost single-handedly destroyed Hewlett-Packard by merging it with Compaq. So, aside from being a blowhard, she's also a failure. A failure in business advising a guy who wrecked five airplanes, earning the backhanded moniker of "Ace". And both of them wanted to push the policies of a guy who couldn't make money pumping oil.

And the GOP is the friend of business? Gimme a break.

Bush is bin Laden's bitch

| | Comments (0)

Turns out that Bush is helping bin Laden achieve his goals. In 1998, Osama wanted gas to be at $144 a barrel so as to better compensate the Arab countries who provided it. Well, coming into this weekend, that is pretty much where it was.

So, after colluding with oil industry punks, holding hands with Saudi sheiks and invading Iraq for reasons less plausible than randomly throwing a dart at a map, George Bush helped make it happen.

Thanks George, you son-of-a-bitch. And yeah, I truly mean that too.

Eat up!

It is Independence Day time. For those of you not being subjected to 110 degree heat, get outside and enjoy the long weekend.

Some quick picnic ideas for your weekend picnicking.

Personally, I'll be just trying to relax and alternately get the nursery set up a bit better. Wish me luck on both.

Back online-ish

| | Comments (0)

Alright, as you can see the blog is up and running. I haven't converted the old style and am still not sure if I actually can successfully. Also, I've got a lot of backend stuff that apparently is going to have to be manually fixed, one entry at a time.

But hey, I'm upgraded. Yay?

Freaks off the leash

| | Comments (0)

I've been perusing parenting sites lately, particularly fatherhood ones. Some are pretty cool, some are boring and others scare the hell out of me.

One entry on a particular site I like led me to this. Apparently the Jesus freaks are now trying to push their Hate Jesus onto small children in parks.

Look, I'm still undecided on what religion(s) we'll introduce to Gabriel and the only thing I'm damn sure of is that he won't be learning it from some racist, bigoted, hate-filled zealot from Oklahoma (apologies to all you rational Okies we know and love).

Time covers the state of patriotism. It includes a statement from Barack Obama. McCain did one too, look it up yourself if interested.

"That is the true genius of America -- a faith in simple dreams, an insistence on small miracles. It's the idea that we can tuck in our children at night and know that they are fed and clothed and safe from harm; that we can say what we think, write what we think, without hearing a sudden knock on the door; that we can have an idea and start our own business without paying a bribe; that we can participate in the political process without fear of retribution; and that our votes will be counted."

- Barack Obama, in Time

Time also covers the enigma known as flag lapel pins.

Parade Magazine also gets into the theme, getting another good statement from Barack and the standard "my country right or wrong" bullshit argument from McCain. Once again, find that crap yourself if interested.

"In the end, it may be this quality that best describes patriotism in my mind--not just a love of America in the abstract, but a very particular love for, and faith in, one another as Americans. The greatness of our country--its victories in war, its enormous wealth, its scientific and cultural achievements--have resulted from the toil, drive, struggle, restlessness, humor, and quiet heroism of the American people. That is the liberty we defend--the liberty of each of us to follow our dreams. That is the equality we seek--not an equality of results but the chance of every single one of us to make it if we try. That is the community we strive to build--one in which we recognize we share common hopes and dreams, one in which we continue to insist that there is nothing we cannot do when we put our minds to it, and one in which we see ourselves as part of a larger story, our own fates wrapped up in the fates of all who share allegiance to America's singular creed."

- Barack Obama, in Parade

There is also a bonus comment from Jim Webb taken from his book "A Time to Fight", which I've been reading in between all the baby books I'm trying to absorb.

So-called patriots

Here's a picture of your average Republican:

Note that she cannot spell or construct a sentence in the only language she supposedly knows. I've been holding onto this pic for awhile.

These are the kinds of fools who let child molesting polygamists live as their neighbors. These are the same douchebags who now want to pack heat when they go to the airport. If they win that, you'll see these morons in church, at schools, in hospitals with their handguns. The same guns they will fight to the death to not be trained or certified or otherwise registered to have.

Like I said, Republicans.

James Dobson kind of Republicans, who is attacking Obama lately on the premise, I guess, that God is more vengeful and hateful than most decent people take him to be. I don't know about you, but my vision of Christ on a cross did not involve him flipping off the Romans. For the Talibangelicals, this apparently is how they like him: vengeful.

And when the holier-than-thous aren't working hard to take away your legal access to medication in their "pro-life" drugstore chain, they are calling Obama a Muslim plant when McCain is probably a Russian version of the Manchurian candidate, and takes money from people who actually fund terrorists.

And since Rethugs like to accuse Democrats of being Commies, why is it that our Bush era "interrogation" techniques are lifted straight from the Chinese?

No, really, WHY?

Why is it that Black Republicans are more racist than your standard GOP stalwart?

Why are these idiots in charge? Why did you fools put them there? Why do you believe their lies and their opinions that aren't true, aren't plausible, aren't possible?

Hopefully we turn the entire bunch of freaks, pedophiles, liars, thieves, and zealots out on the street. You can atone for voting for Bush and the rest of his ilk. Seriously, you CAN be forgiven.

So, I've got a couple links related to dog and human food to pass along. I've had them forever and lost them in a browser crash. Thankfully I bothered to bookmark them and had forgotten about that until recently.

First off, National Geographic did a great visual on people food that is poisonous to dogs. Check it out here.

WikiHow also has a similar page on foods dogs should not have.

Be careful out there.
